Golf Carts

Brad's twin brother, Mark and his wife just moved to Utah. This has been great for Brad and I, because now we have a "go-to" couple to hang out with. We are secretly hoping they don't make any friends here because we want them all to ourselves. That's right, if anyone is reading this and thinking about befriending them, think again! They're taken! Brad and Mark like to go to the driving range and hit golf balls. Brad wanted me to come along the other day and I accepted on one condition.

I drive the golf cart.

What is it about golf carts? They are such a blast to zip around in! It gives me that feeling of being 16 and getting my drivers licence. FREEDOM! Wind in my hair, max speed of 6 mph, and taking it off the pavement to scare my husband! It's great...and the only time you will catch me out on the golf course, is when I am drivin' one of those battery charged, heavenly peices of machinery.

7 Months Pregnant!!!

I'm over 7 months pregnant these days....and boy do we have a story for the blog! This one is good! So this past Sunday we went to church. We were a little late and had to sit in the overflow where the gym is....in those terrible metal fold-out chairs. It was time for the sacrament, for those of you who are not familiar with the Mormon religion, this is the time where we take the bread and water....it's a VERY QUIET time. I started to feel a little weird and told Brad that I didn't feel well. We took the bread and before the water came I felt like I was going to throw up.

So what did I do? I looked for the nearest exit and planned my escape. I knew if I had to run out the door I couldn't do it wearing heels, so those were the first to go. I took off my shoes and then the 12 year old with the water came around. Brad asked if I wanted some....and then that is all I remember.

Thats right. I passed out. Gonzo. Out like a light.

I guess Brad caught me but couldn't hold me up up in the chair because I weigh about as much a him now and my slippery dress on the metal chair... bad combo. Apparently, some men came to Brad's assistance (including the Bishop from up on the stand who saw the chaos) and helped me to the floor...someone put a blanket on me, and they elevated my feet with a pile of hymnals.... So I woke up surrounded by people taking my pulse and others looking at the excitment. Yeah, you could say it's the most embarassing thing that has EVER happened to me. Apparently, this pregnancy has left me slightly anemic.

Needless to say...we are investegating a new ward to attend....actually, we may just change religions.

Maine...The Way Life Should Be

Brad and I were in Maine last week visiting family and friends....We stayed on the coast in a town called Stonington. It was AWESOME! I cried for 48 hours straight after we left....thank goodness for an understanding, sweet husband like Brad. He can always pick up the pieces. We showed Brad the whole Maine experience! We ate Lobster, Kayaked in the ocean, and just relaxed! He loved it. I know everyone will just love the pic of my prenant belly, with my sister's pregnant belly and my skinny mom. Thats a pregnant sandwich if i've ever seen one!

Funny story... So one of the days we were all sitting by the beach and swimming. The water was pretty cold so when i jumped in to cool off it was quick. I mean it, I was only in the water for like 3 seconds at a time. Anyways- when we went back to our cabin to change a bunch of rocks fell out of my bathing suit....not a shocker. If you've ever been to the beach, this has happened to you. The shocking part was one of the rocks was actually a shell and it landed on the floor and sprouted legs and started walking!!!!! IT WAS A HERMIT CRAB!!!!!!!!! Don't ask me how that happened.... but everyone thought me "having crabs" was pretty funny!
